Elvis is different than any other artist you have ever herd. He is one of a kind, what set him appart from everyone else is that he was interesting. His music, his image, his beleifs, and backround all contributed to the connection he made with his fans. First of all, Elvis is relatable. He came from having little to being incredibly famous. Many people in the world have finacail issues and don't have hope that their dream future won't come true, but Elvis gave that to them. The song "Living in the Ghetto" was about his life as a child growing up in hardship. He was determined to be a preformer and if you want something bad enough and you do all you can to get it then it will most likely happen.
Elvis started a new genre of music, some people say. His music was a fusion of country, pop, and blues music (Elvis Presley's Musical Influence on America). As his fame progressed he started to sing rock n' rock music. People loved Elvis's music but they also loved to watch him preform. He danced, he sang, and played guitar when he preformed (Elvis Presley). Plus, he was one of the first singers to reach out to both the white and black communties. When he was a teenager he would go and see African American musicians play (Elvis Presley). His music was relatable to all people. He though that everyone should be treated equal like the song "Walk a Mile in my Shoes". Beacuse Elvis was so famous, this would influence that country tramendously and getting everyone on board with the idea that just because your skin color is differnt, that doesn't mean you don't matter.
